Historic Trades Apprentice/ Interpreter 3/93-7/97
Performed the 18th Century trades of carpentry and joinery. Discussed colonial society, economy, politics and culture by means of lecture demonstration and hands on opportunities. Managed the site and directed projects. Researched and documented pertinent data. Lectured to Elderhostel and other groups.

Consultant to Mount Vernon, Poplar Forest and other museums 5/93-7/97
Advised, developed and provided information to initiate a historical interpretive program.
Character Interpreter 7/95-7/97
Researched and developed a dramatic monologue for the Religious Studies Program. Performed the role as
an 18th Century tutor who taught religion and provided an outsider's view of Virginia's culture and society.
Revolutionary Points of View 3/95-7/97
Lectured and performed in a program geared to visitor participation in debate.
Organized, set up and managed the activities.
Outreach Representative 2/95-7/97
Traveled to various schools in and out of state to present programs to the students as a follow up to
theWilliamsburg Teacher Summer Institute. Traveled to Alabama for two consecutive years.
Environmental Youth Group Assistant Manager 2/95-12/95
Interviewed, hired, directed, and instructed leaders for a new children's
tour focused on 18th Century environmental problems and their modern repercussions.
Developed the program in conjunction with other departments.
Visitor Aide 6/92-3/93
Greeted and oriented visitors to the museum. Monitored and enforced admissions policies. Elected to the
hospitality and Courtesy Committee and formulated regulations and rules of conduct.
